Take the Bathroom Behaviour Index

We’ve spent five years refining the art of toilet paper making, and we’ve been lucky enough to roll into hundreds of thousands of UK homes.

After countless hours observing the behaviour of toilet paper shoppers we’ve learned a thing or two about what people really want out of those simple rolls of tissue.

Most people make decisions based on one of three factors:

  • Cost
  • Comfort
  • Environmental impact

But what does your toilet paper priority say about you?

Welcome to the Bathroom Behaviour Index (BBI), quite possibly the internet’s weirdest personality test.

Answer these questions to find your BBI-type and find your perfect roll-mate.

Question 1: You’re standing in the toilet paper aisle. What’s your strategy?

A) You look at the prices first; specifically the price per sheet, not the price per roll. They’re not short-changing you with skimpy rolls!

 B) You wander down the aisle considering the textures on offer and giving the rolls a gentle squeeze as though you’re buying avocados.

C) You’re ignoring anything with cartoon animals or plastic wrapping and head straight for the paper-wrapped options.

Question 2: You’re buying new underwear. Your approach is...

A) Snapping up multi-packs of basics, ideally with a discount.

 B) Digging into the details of the fabric and seam construction. Life’s far too short for scratchy underwear.

C) “Do they sell these in hemp?”

Question 3: Time for a bathroom refresh. What does this mean to you?

A) Rotating and restocking buy-one-get-one-free packs of toothpaste, shampoos, and soaps for another year.

B) Scented candles, plush towels, and soft mats. Is bathroom mood-music a thing? It should be.

C) Fitting a water-saving flush, eco shower head, and finally getting separate bathroom bins for plastic and recycling.

Question 4: Your friends would describe you as…

A) Practical and organised

 B) A hospitable bon-vivant

C) Mindful and eco-conscious

Mostly A’s? You’re a thrifty roller

You prioritise cost and practicality. You want products that are great value and will last a long time. Perhaps you have a big family, cats who love to shred loo roll, or you simply enjoy a bargain for its own sake.

Your Naked Paper match:
Recycled toilet paper made from recycled packaging materials. Because we use waste raw materials and source them efficiently they’re the most economical option in the Naked Paper family. Perfect for bulk buying with a toilet roll subscription.

Take it from Naked Paper customer Elaine, who’s set up a subscription of recycled toilet paper for her home:
“Always pleased with this product. Arrives just as I'm running out. Great value for money.”

If you fit this profile you'll probably want to see a price comparison for yourself. Here's one. (Don't worry, it's price per sheet, not price per roll!)

Mostly B’s: The comfort connoisseur

Everyday comfort matters to you. You want products that feel good to use and bring a bit of luxury to daily life for you and the people you care about. You might also have sensitive skin or allergies that make skin-friendly tissue a priority. Either way, bleach-free bamboo toilet paper is your new best friend.

Your Naked Paper match:
Bamboo toilet paper. Bamboo is fibre is naturally antibacterial and hypoallergenic and our rolls are bleach-free, and PFAS-free to boot. Gentle on skin, soothing for your soul, and reassuringly soft.

Fiona, one of our customers, sums it up nicely:
“It’s a simple swap from standard paper to Naked Paper. Impressed at its softness. Goes a long way. Pleased I’m no longer exposed to bleached paper.”

Mostly C’s: The toilet paper utopian

You know your shopping choices aren’t going to save the world, but it doesn’t stop you thinking about their impact. You carefully consider the products you use every day and you prefer to buy from companies that do the same.

Your Naked Paper match:
Recycled toilet paper has a slight edge here, thanks to locally sourced materials that minimise transport emissions (yes, the same reasons that make it the most economical option as well).

But either way, all Naked Paper products are PFAS-free, with no bleach, and boast a low climate footprint compared to the bog standard.

Eric, a long-time customer, explains:
“Never disappointed - the quality and consistency is there, and more importantly Naked Paper gives me the opportunity to contribute indirectly to preserving the environment (the company is VERY serious, even obsessed, about it!). Keep rocking guys!”

Thanks Eric, we will.

A bit of all three? So are we

We’ll admit it – the BBI is probably not the most scientific personality test. If you're anything like us you probably want the full package; great value loo roll that's gentle to use and comes with a lower environmental impact.

So if you’re not sure which type of tissue is right for you, why not try a mix and match approach? We offer recycled and bamboo options of all three of our products; toilet paper, kitchen rolls, and tissues. All made with no bleach and a more sustainable process that keeps the quality high and the impact low

You could try soft bamboo toilet paper in the bathroom and keep our recycled tissues on hand for cold season. Or stock up your loo with our great value recycled rolls, and bring our strong kitchen paper towels into play for everyday wiping and scrubbing.

Whichever you opt for, the choice is risk-free. Our support team are on hand to help with any questions and if you ever try a Naked Paper product and find you don’t like it just email to let us know and we’ll refund you with no quibbles.
