Does Naked Paper cost more?

It’s a question we get a lot. If you care about the planet, you shouldn’t have to pay over the odds to do the right thing. So, does Naked Paper toilet paper cost more?

It doesn’t. In fact, when you look closely at the numbers, we’re often cheaper than standard UK toilet paper and other eco alternatives.

Let’s dig into the sums.

The best value toilet paper has more sheets per penny

If you want to compare toilet paper prices, don’t stop at the price per roll.

There’s no standard roll length, so the real measure of value is price per sheet.

Two brands might both sell a 24-roll box for the same price but one could have 180 sheets per roll, and the other 300.

Naked Paper rolls are among the longest in the UK, with 320 bleach-free sheets on every recycled cardboard core. Our best-value orders work out at around 22p per 100 sheets, compared with roughly 28p for other leading brands.

You can see the full comparison here: Price comparison chart.

Fair prices, simple supply chain

Even though we’re not manufacturing at the same scale as other brands (yet!), our prices stay competitive because we keep our supply chain simple and efficient.

Many “UK made” toilet rolls are cut from large imported parent reels and just packaged here. Other eco brands ship finished rolls from China.

We do things differently. Our parent rolls and final products are all made by the same company, our brilliant manufacturing partner LC Paper in Spain.

Everyone who makes Naked Paper is paid a real living wage, and every roll is made using renewable energy, not fossil fuels. We also ship our bamboo as compact pulp, not finished rolls full of air, keeping shipping costs and emissions low.

Recycled paper done smarter

Our bamboo rolls are great value, but our recycled range goes even further for your pennies, while having the lowest emissions to boot.

Instead of using old office paper like most brands, we collect cardboard boxes and delivery packaging from local businesses near our factory.

In 2025, we made this process even more efficient by partnering with major supermarkets in the area. This meant lower costs for us, and we passed this saving on with lower prices for customers on our recycled toilet paper, tissues, and kitchen rolls

Affordable toilet paper shouldn’t cost the earth

That’s enough loo roll economics for one day.

When you look at price per sheet, Naked Paper works out around the same or cheaper than other UK brands. And we’re always happy to describe the details of our sustainable, efficient manufacturing process that makes it possible.
